What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors interact with our website and services we collect information.  This information is personal and non-personal data.  

Personal information is given voluntary by the user, and my include name, email and more.  When the user provides this personal information, it is for the purpose to opt-in for a free download and to participate in our email marketing.  If the user chooses to send an email, the information that’s disclosed is saved on our email server.  We use personal information to send emails, email marketing, and for customer service.  

Non-personal information is anonymous.  It cannot be linked to anyone, and is only used to analyze data in an agglomerate manner.  This non-personal data may include : IP address, types of device our Website was accessed on, the type of browser used, the way in which our Website was used, any pages or posted viewed or interacted with, and the city our Website was accessed from.   We use non-personal data to analyze traffic of the Website.  We also may share non-personal data with third-party advertisers who may want to advertise on our Website.  Non-personal information helps us better understand our market and the people we serve.  Non-personal information cannot be linked back to the user.  

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you would like to un-subscribe or un-enroll for emails you are able to do so.  All emails contain an unsubscribe link at the bottom, so that you can unsubscribe yourself.  If you would like your email address and personal information to be permanently deleted from the database list, please send an email to hockeymomrd@gmail.com with you request.

If you make a purchase through any of the programs we are affiliates for, we will receive an email notifying us of the sale.  This email may include personal information about you, like your name and email address.  We retain this information, but keep it private and not share it.
